Why you Neber Greet ME ?

I still remember this infamous question. Make that a sarcastic one.

For those that have served/still serving in the military or any uniformed organisation, I don't think you will find this unfamiliar. I myself have been a victim of this. And very often, there's only one outcome.

Go on your fours and seek for permission to carry on.

Was at my area's ATC last weekend. For the uninitiated, it means " Adventure Training Camp". Still don't understand? Go grab someone that has been through NPCC and force him to explain to you.

Anway, back to the ATC. Yes.. I know, the week's almost over and only am I blogging on this, but better late than never ? Got to admit that my area has capable instructors and hence, you can trust them to run the show. While some of them are complaining or grumbling," you see the officers... so do nothing one...".

To me this is a good sign. Cos usually if the officers actually have to do something, means something is wrong.. very wrong. Just like what happened towards the end of the camp, whereby a cadet had his head cut by a kayak paddle. Quite a deep gash and has to be evacuated to the mainland. Oh yes... did I mention, the camp's on Pulau Ubin. Don't know where Ubin is? Check a map. =p

I was with 2 officers, let's just call them teacher A and teacher B.

Teacher A was, initially quite uncomfortable with me around. Well, you see, I'm not an instructor, just some extra officer around. She was hesistant to speak to me. However, after learning that I've graduated from NUS and have been working for more than a year, her attitude changed. I was perceived as a colleague, not some small kid. It didn't matter that I am not an employee of MOE.

Teacher A: You see that CI over there, whole day show me that black face, see me never greet. Even when she was a student, in school also like that..... very rude!!

Teacher B is a friend of mine. When he learnt of this incident, his first remarks were, " What is your opinion of this? I never believe in asking someone to greet me."

Well.. I never believe in such a thing too. But well, if the kids aren't doing , then who is to be blamed?
